Updated CDC Mask Guidelines

On May 13, the CDC released new guidelines for masks for fully vaccinated people that state that you no longer have to wear a mask or social distance indoors or outdoors with other fully vaccinated people.  Read more about these new guidelines here.

I wanted to reach out with an update in light of this new information and how it will effect my business and your massage experience going forward.

  • Please feel free to share your vaccination status with me, but please know that this is not a requirement.  I will continue to ask that masks be worn while in the office if you are not fully vaccinated.  I would like to share that I have been fully vaccinated since mid March.  Please let me know when you come in for your next appointment if you have any questions or would like to discuss your vaccination status with me.  If you prefer to continue to wear a mask during your session, just let me know.
  • Masks are still required to enter the building in which my office is located.  The building houses DuPage Medical Group offices and this is still their requirement.  I will update if there are any changes.
  • As of today, Illinois is entering the Bridge Phase of reopening and is on track to move to Phase 5 on June 11. Read more about this here.  As of today, May 14, I will no longer be doing temperature checks or screening on arrival. New clients will still be prescreened and temperature checked on their first visit. As always, if you are feeling any symptoms such as chills, fever, body aches or cough, please reschedule your appointment until you are well.
  • All deep cleaning protocols will still be followed here in the office and the schedule spacing will remain the same (an hour between each client) for the time being.

This is a lot to digest!  It is good news for many as we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Please make sure that you reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.  When Illinois reaches Phase 5, I will update you further and keep you posted on any changes in the meantime.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate new territory!  I am committed to your health, well-being and safety as always.
