About Kate:

I have been a massage therapist for 15 years.  I received my training at the Indiana College of Bodywork Modalities in 2003. I opened my own practice that year with my father, who had retired and became a reflexologist.  I went on the following year to get a specialization in orthopedic massage and became certified through James Waslaski’s Orthopedic Massage program.  I worked extensively in my practice with clients with specific injuries to help rehabilitate  and prevent further injury. I did onsite work at an assembly line factory assisting employees with work-related injuries, treatment and self-care exercises.  Becoming certified in orthopedic massage adds more tools to my practice and helps me get my clients back to healthy and pain free living. Massage therapy is “hands down” the best approach to overall health and wellness!

I have worked in salons and spas and I have been a business owner for many years.   My passion comes from my love of people and the desire to see them healthy, happy and productive.  I have many years of continuing education and experience to bring to the table! My goal is to tailor each client’s session to their own needs.

About Donna:

I am a graduate from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and have been practicing massage therapy for almost 20 years.  I have been trained in various techniques and specialize in sports massage, Myofascial Release, pre- and post-natal massage, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy, cupping massage, and working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

I am a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2005. I became a certified fitness trainer to help give me a better understanding of how the body works, so that I can treat each client individually, and tailor their treatments according to their body’s needs.

I received my undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL, and am currently working towards my Master’s degree in Public Health-Health Promotion from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb IL.

I strongly believe in keeping up with the latest research and education so I can provide my clients’ with the proper resources to help them understand how their bodies work, and how to free themselves from daily stressors, chronic pain, and emotional trauma.  I work with my clients on a one-on-one basis not only through massage therapy, but also with fitness training, nutritional coaching, and aromatherapy.
